March 27th-May 5th
Prayer Focus– To Establish the Heavens over Rockwall
Fasting Negative Words and Thoughts for 40 days
Day 1-10 Moving from Negative to Positive words
Monday, March 27, 2022, starts a 40-day fast, ending May 5th when we gather at the Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium in Rockwall for our night of Worship and Prayer. This is our National Day of Prayer celebration!
It was Peter’s words, “You are the Christ the Son of God” that prompted Jesus’ reply, “Upon this Rock I will build My church.” Upon this very revelation that Jesus is the Son of God the church would be built. Later Jesus heard Peter speak negative words and quickly said, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me, for you are not setting your mind on things of God, but on the things of man.”
Fasting
A fast to us usually means abstaining from food for a period of time to draw near to God for a particular purpose. God spoke to Isaiah to address a misconception about what a fast is in His eyes. Isaiah 58 tells us what God says:
Tell my people about their wrongdoing: shout with a voice like a trumpet; hold nothing back: say this people of Jacob’s line and heritage have failed to do what is right. And yet they look for Me every day. They pretend to want to learn what I teach, as if they are indeed a nation good and true, as if they hadn’t really turned their backs on My directives. They even ask Me, as though they care, about what I want them to be and do, as if they really want Me in their lives.
People: Why didn’t You notice how diligently we fasted before You? We humbled ourselves with pious practices and You paid no attention.
Eternal One: I have to tell you, on those fasting days, all you were really seeking was your own pleasure; besides you were busy defrauding people and abusing your workers. Your kind of fasting is pointless, for it only leads to bitter quarrels, contentious backbiting, and vicious fighting. You are not fasting today because you want Me to hear your voice. What kind of fast do I choose? Is a true fast simply not some religious exercise for making a person feel miserable and woeful? It is about how you bow your head (like a bent reed), how you dress (in sackcloth), and where you sit (in a bed of ashes)? Is this what you call a fast, a day the Eternal One finds good and proper?
No, what I want in a fast is this:
To liberate those tied down and held back by injustice
To lighten the load of those heavily burdened
To free the oppressed and shatter every type of oppression
A fast for Me involves sharing your food with people who have none, giving those who are homeless a space in your home, giving clothes to those who need them, and not neglecting your own family
Then, oh then, your light will break out like the warm, golden rays of a rising sun; in an instant, you will be healed. Your rightness will precede and protect you; the glory of the Eternal will follow and defend you. Then when you do call out, “My God, Where are You?” The Eternal One will answer, “I am here, I am here.”
If you remove the yoke of oppression from the downtrodden among you, stop accusing others, and do away with mean and inflammatory speech, if you make sure that the hungry and oppressed have all that they need, then your light will shine in the darkness, and even your bleakest moments will be bright as a clear day.
The Eternal One will never leave you; He will lead you in the way that you should go. When you feel dried up and worthless, God will nourish you and give you strength. And you will grow like a garden lovingly tended, you will be like a spring whose water never runs out. You will discover there are people among your own who can rebuild this broken-down city out of the ancient ruins; You will firm up its ancient foundations. And all around, others will call you ‘Repairer of Broken Down Walls’ and ‘Rebuilder of Livable Streets.’
If because of the Sabbath you set aside your own pursuits and pleasure, and you honor the Sabbath and sanctify that day by leaving it to and for the Eternal – if you speak of Sabbath-delight but avoid speaking idle words, and refuse to get caught up and busy with your interest and concerns – then you will discover joy such as only the Eternal can give. And I will raise you high and make your reach as wide as the earth, and you will live on all that I promised to Jacob, your ancestor, the heart of Israel. The Eternal One said these very things.” (The Voice)
Day one:
As we begin this fast of negative words either speaking, thinking, or hearing them, we will begin to discern what words are helping and what words are hindering the building of this wall of protection around Rockwall. By the end of the forty days, we will be so strong that we will see the victory!
Speak Life: I am building on the solid Rock, the Word of the Lord. Let Your fire be on my tongue to speak the goodness of God.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalms 19:14
Day two:
Did you know that a book was written about you before the world was ever created? Before we ever knew who we were to be, God wrote our destiny in a book. (Ps. 139) The same goes for cities, states, nations and, businesses. Rockwall’s destiny is written in a book. It is God’s heart to see cities fulfill their destiny. When you read these prophetic words, know that the person giving the word was reading from the book written for Rockwall’s destiny.
Speaking life :
“We speak that Rockwall, Texas is the epicenter of a new prayer movement in this nation. We see thousands gathering in Rockwall to pray day and night over this land. I see thousands coming to Rockwall to pray. I see nations coming to Rockwall to pray. I see thousands moving to Rockwall to pray. Rockwall, Texas is the prayer capital of this nation.”
“There is a mantle on Texas to bring forth change in America. I say there is a governmental anointing on the State of Texas – on the church of Texas – to rise up in her position in heavenly places and begin to legislate and begin to affect, to release the government of God that changes the government of man.”
“There is a nation in your loins and you will birth a nation. God is giving you the authority to address giants who are stopping it. There will be a grassroots movement from Texas that will be seen throughout the nation and the Giant will be addressed. It will be known that from Texas a nation was birthed, a nation went to war, and a nation had the victory.”
Speak Life: Isaiah 55: 11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Day Three:
Word of God John 6: 47 -51(NKJV) “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever, and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”
Jesus came to give His life. He became the living Word that lives in us today. We have everlasting life in Him.
Speak Life: I receive the Living Word in me and will speak His Word of everlasting life.
Day Four:
Where is the Church today? Have we believed words that are not true? Have we accepted the bully’s words to control us, let words contrary to God’s love hurt us, and allowed words to mold us into something we are not? The nature of sin is through words, thoughts believed, and spoken words that bring death not life. We must see the destruction of wrong words spoken and choose to speak words in line with God’s Word.
“We all fail in many areas, but especially with our words. Yet if we’re able to bridle the words we say we are powerful enough to control ourselves in every way, and that means our character is mature and fully developed.” James 3: 2( TPT)
Speak Life: I repent for the wrong words I have spoken. Please forgive me, Father, and help me to change my words and thoughts to Your words.
Day Five:
The main objective for this 40 day Fast is how to limit our negative words so they will not affect our future. When we repeat these words we enable the enemy to have open access to continue to ravage this land and our lives.
“And so the tongue is a small part of the body yet it carries great power! Just think of how a small flame can set a huge forest ablaze. And the tongue is a fire! It can be compared to the sum total of wickedness (the tongue has dominion) and is the most dangerous part of our human body.” James 3: 5,6 (TPT)
Speak Life: I will not let negative words affect my future but will use God’s word to build a solid foundation for my future and the future of my family and my city
DAY SIX:
We are in a place today where the power of words has bruised and battered us. They are found deep into the very structure of this land and shifted the very purpose of America’s calling. They have twisted our thinking. We have chosen to listen to words, fake news, that control where we go and what we do. These are not acceptable anymore. We have agreed with negative words that have kept us blinded to the words of life. This is the deception that the enemy uses to keep us in bondage.
“But no weapon that is formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against me in judgment I shall show to be in the wrong. This (peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition) is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced.) Isaiah 54:17
Speak life: I am alert to the enemy’s deception and will take positive steps to keep negative words from coming into my atmosphere.
Day Seven:
God is exposing the lies of the enemy. These lies have kept us frustrated and confused. Any time you feel confused and don’t know what to do, be on the alert the enemy is trying to get you back into the same pattern as before. It’s time we break our agreement with the enemy’s words. Only God has the words of Life!
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests by made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.” Philippians 4: 6.7 (NKJV)
Speak life: I receive His Word deep into the crevices of my hearts for healing the wounds to be made whole. Help me, Lord, to break agreement with the enemy’s words and speak words of life.
Day Eight:
This is the now time to speak faith-filled words to preserve God’s purpose for our families and our cities. God says: “Behold I have put My words in your mouth. See I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.” Jeremiah 1: 9-10
Speak life: I receive His Words in my mouth for Rockwall’s destiny to come forth and become a City of Prayer.
Day Nine:
This 40 Day Prayer Fast is about using positive, faith-filled words to build walls of protection around Rockwall. These faith words establish the heavens above us!
Mark 11: 23b-24 Jesus spoke: ”If you don’t doubt, but trust that what you say will take place, then it will happen. So listen to what I’m saying: whatever you pray for or ask from God, believe that you receive it and you will.”
Speak Life: My faith begins as hope, yet it becomes proof that it is real and I can trust that!
Day 10:
Fasting negative words brings forth our destiny.
Our voices become a shofar as we sound His voice daily over this land. One of the most incredible things about Rockwall is the rock wall planted in the land. This marker confirms Rockwall’s birthright of Exhorter and its purpose. An Exhorter reveals a bigger perspective of God. Exhorters are world changers! Changes in the world and religious history have been in the hands of Exhorters.
Let’s look at Moses. God chose Moses, an Exhorter, to not only deliver a whole nation but also to give them the Ten Commandments, the Tabernacle, and the miracles in Egypt. Moses’ assignment was to reveal God to Israel. This required an understanding of God’s nature for Israel to move beyond a heritage of being slaves to being free men who walk in dominion. Moses was to bring the knowledge of God along with the power of God.
Speak Life: We will see the Light in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth!!
